Quick recap

Ash arrives in Hoenn, and right away Pikachu gets sick from an electrical overload. Young May, who gets a Torchic and ends up discovering she wants to be a Coordinator, joins the trip with her little brother Max, and Brock rejoins the group. Ash catches Taillow, Treecko and Corphish and earns Hoenn's first three badges, in Rock, Fighting and Electric battles. May debuts in Pokémon Contests and gains a rival, Drew. Team Magma and Team Aqua show up with still-mysterious plans, while Team Rocket keeps chasing Pikachu. The season ends with the group pushing into the middle of the region.
