Quick recap

Daryl washes up on a beach in France with no clear idea how he got there. He lands at a convent, where a nun named Isabelle believes he was sent to escort a boy, Laurent, to a refuge in the north. Laurent is seen as hope for the future, and Genet's Pouvoir des Vivants wants him. On the road through Paris, Daryl meets Quinn, Isabelle's ex and Laurent's father, who dies helping them. Codron, a Pouvoir soldier, spares the children and swears revenge on Daryl. They reach Mont-Saint-Michel. Daryl decides to head back to the US, visits his grandfather's grave and makes it to the boat, but hesitates when he sees Laurent followed him. In Maine, Carol finds Daryl's motorcycle.
