Quick recap

Nearly a century after Kirk, Captain Jean-Luc Picard commands the USS Enterprise-D. The crew includes first officer Riker, the android Data, who wants to be human, the Klingon Worf, engineer Geordi La Forge, counselor Troi, Dr. Beverly Crusher and her son Wesley. In the pilot, Q shows up, an almost all-powerful being who puts humanity on trial and keeps coming back. Over seven seasons, the show mixes standalone missions with bigger arcs: the Borg assimilate Picard, who becomes Locutus, and Worf gets pulled into a Klingon civil war. In the finale, "All Good Things...", Q makes Picard jump between past, present and future to save humanity. The series ends with Picard finally sitting down to play poker with his officers.
