Quick recap

Pike turns down a promotion to commodore and gets Number One made a commander. The season has no single arc: each episode is a different genre. The Enterprise travels 65 million years into the past and meets Martians, Una goes undercover on a Klingon-occupied planet in a black-and-white noir episode, and a transporter accident turns the crew into puppets. Trelane returns and traps everyone in a soap opera. Kirk, Spock and La'An investigate a derelict ship, and La'An breaks up with Spock. In the finale, Uhura talks to a version of herself from a year ahead, in a future where Scotty has died. The two help the beings of an anomaly, who wipe it all from everyone's memory except present-day Uhura's.
