Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

In the 32nd century, more than a hundred years after the Burn, Starfleet Academy reopens in San Francisco. The chancellor is Nahla Ake, who also commands the training ship USS Athena. The lead is Caleb Mir, a young man who grew up on the run and is looking for his mother, separated from him as a kid. He shares his days with fellow cadets like Jay-Den, Sam, Darem and Genesis, and with teachers like the Doctor, the old medical hologram, and Tilly. The threat is the pirate Nus Braka, tied to Caleb's past. In the end, Braka uses the Omega molecule to surround the Federation with mines, and the cadets save the fleet. Braka is arrested, and the season ends with a ceremony on Betazed.

1. CameoThe Doctor, 900 years later

   Robert Picardo returns as the Doctor, Voyager's medical hologram, now an Academy instructor. He's around 900 years old.

2. CameoA new Dax

   Tawny Newsome, Lower Decks' Mariner, appears as Illa Dax, the current host of the Dax symbiont. She was also the first Star Trek actor hired onto a Star Trek writing staff.
