Quick recap

Kirk breaks the Prime Directive to save Spock from a volcano on the planet Nibiru and loses command of the Enterprise. Soon after, agent John Harrison bombs a Starfleet archive in London and attacks a meeting of top brass, killing Pike. He flees to Qo'noS. Admiral Marcus orders Kirk to kill him from a distance, but Kirk chooses to arrest him. Harrison is Khan, a 20th-century superhuman Marcus woke up to build weapons, and the torpedoes hold his frozen crew. Marcus wants a war with the Klingons and attacks in the warship Vengeance. Kirk dies fixing the Enterprise's core, and Spock chases Khan through San Francisco. Khan's blood brings Kirk back, and the Enterprise sets off on a five-year mission.
