Quick recap

After a nuclear war, Caesar tries to have apes and humans live together in a new city, with his wife Lisa and son Cornelius. Gorilla general Aldo wants humans as servants. Caesar travels to the radioactive ruins of the old city with MacDonald and the orangutan Virgil, looking for recordings of his parents. There he learns Earth's fate, but also draws the attention of mutant humans led by Kolp. Aldo plots a coup and fatally wounds young Cornelius, who overheard the plan. Kolp attacks, the apes win and Aldo's troops slaughter the fleeing mutants. Virgil exposes Aldo's crime, and Aldo falls from a tree as the apes chase him. Caesar accepts humans as equals. Centuries later, the Lawgiver tells this story to children.
