Quick recap

In 2029, astronaut Leo Davidson works on a space station that trains apes for missions. When the chimp Pericles vanishes into an electromagnetic storm, Leo goes after him without permission. He crash-lands on the planet Ashlar, where talking apes enslave humans. Ari, a chimp who stands up for humans, helps Leo and the slave Daena escape, with General Thade on their trail. Leo reaches Calima, the apes' sacred temple, and finds it's his own space station: it crashed there millennia earlier, and the apes on board founded this society. In the final battle, Pericles lands, the fighting stops and Leo traps Thade in the ship. Leo flies back through the storm and lands in Washington, where the Lincoln Memorial now honors Thade.
