Harry, Ron and Hermione skip school to hunt Horcruxes while Voldemort takes over the Ministry. They steal the locket from Umbridge, get the sword of Gryffindor and learn about the Deathly Hallows: the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Invisibility Cloak. Dobby dies saving the trio, and they break into Gringotts for the cup. In the Battle of Hogwarts, Snape is killed, and his memories show he protected Harry out of love for Lily, and that Harry himself carries a piece of Voldemort's soul. Harry gives himself up and is struck down, but comes back. Neville kills the snake Nagini, and in the final duel Voldemort's curse rebounds because the Elder Wand answers to Harry. Nineteen years later, Harry takes his kids to Platform 9¾.
