Quick recap

Dobby the house-elf warns Harry not to go back to Hogwarts. He goes anyway, in a flying car with Ron. Students start turning up petrified, and a message on the wall says the Chamber of Secrets has been opened. An old diary belonging to Tom Riddle shows Hagrid being accused 50 years earlier. Hermione is petrified, but leaves the clue: it's a basilisk. Ginny Weasley is taken into the Chamber. Lockhart turns out to be a fraud and wipes his own memory with Ron's broken wand. In the Chamber, Riddle emerges from the diary and reveals himself as the young Voldemort. With Fawkes the phoenix and the sword of Gryffindor, Harry kills the basilisk and destroys the diary with a fang.
