Turles, a Saiyan who looks almost exactly like Goku, arrives on Earth with his crew of space pirates and plants the Tree of Might. It drains the whole planet's energy, and its fruit grants huge power to whoever eats it. Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Chiaotzu take on the henchmen. Gohan turns into a giant ape under an artificial moon and nearly crushes his own father before changing back. Turles eats the fruit and overpowers Goku. With help from Piccolo and his friends, Goku pulls energy from the tree's own roots into a Spirit Bomb that destroys both the tree and Turles.
