Dragon Ball Z · Saiyan Saga

Five years later, Goku has a son, Gohan. Raditz shows up, reveals that Goku is the Saiyan Kakarot, sent to Earth as a baby to destroy it, and kidnaps the boy. Goku teams up with Piccolo and holds his brother while the Special Beam Cannon kills them both. Dead, Goku runs Snake Way and trains with King Kai; Piccolo trains Gohan. A year later Nappa and Vegeta arrive: Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Tien and Piccolo die, and the Dragon Balls vanish with Kami. Revived, Goku beats Nappa and fights Vegeta with the Kaioken. Gohan, as a giant ape, crushes the prince, who escapes alive at Goku's request. Bulma, Krillin and Gohan decide to go to Namek.
