Quick recap

Bardock is a low-class Saiyan who conquers planets for Frieza. On planet Kanassa, a survivor strikes him and gives him the power to see the future. His visions show Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta and Bardock's newborn son, Kakarot, growing up to face the tyrant. No one believes him, and Dodoria kills his teammates. Wounded, Bardock flies alone at Frieza's army and challenges him. Frieza answers with a giant energy ball that kills Bardock and blows up the planet. In his final seconds, Bardock sees his grown son standing before Frieza, while the baby's pod is already on its way to Earth.
