With Superman dead, Amanda Waller creates Task Force X: Belle Reve inmates with bombs in their necks, led by Colonel Rick Flag. Among them are Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo and Killer Croc. Archaeologist June Moone, possessed by the witch Enchantress, turns on Waller, takes over Midway City and summons her brother, Incubus, to wipe out humanity. The Joker tries to break Harley out mid-mission. Learning the real goal was saving Waller, the group nearly quits, then goes back to fight. El Diablo sacrifices himself to stop Incubus, and Flag crushes Enchantress's heart, freeing June. Waller takes ten years off each sentence. In the end, the Joker storms Belle Reve and takes Harley.
