Quick recap

On Bella's 18th birthday, a paper cut nearly makes Jasper attack her. Edward decides she isn't safe and leaves Forks with his family, telling her he no longer loves her. Bella spends months depressed until she notices that when she takes risks, she hears his voice. She grows close to Jacob Black, who fixes up motorcycles with her and soon changes: he and other young Quileutes become wolves. The wolves kill Laurent when he tries to attack her. Alice sees Bella jump off a cliff, and Edward, thinking she's dead, goes to Volterra to ask the Volturi to kill him. Bella gets there in time. The Volturi demand she be turned; the Cullens vote yes, and Edward asks her to marry him.
