Quick recap

La'An takes leave and ends up on a time-travel adventure with a James T. Kirk from another timeline. Number One stands trial for hiding banned genetic modifications and is acquitted. The season plays with formats: a comedy episode with Boimler and Mariner, a full musical, and M'Benga and Chapel reliving Klingon War trauma. Spock and Chapel finally get together, but she chooses a fellowship with Dr. Korby, and Spock is crushed. Engineer Pelia joins, and a young Scotty shows up at the end. In the finale, the Gorn attack the Parnassus Beta colony, where Pike's partner Batel is. The season ends on a cliffhanger, with the crew in danger.
