Quick recap

Ten years later, the simian flu has wiped out most of humanity. Caesar leads an ape colony in the forest near San Francisco. Survivors led by Malcolm need to fix a dam to bring power back to the city. Caesar allows the work if they hand over their guns, and Malcolm, his partner Ellie and his son Alexander win the apes' trust. Koba, scarred by his years in labs, finds out that human leader Dreyfus is arming the city. He shoots Caesar, blames the humans and leads the apes into war. Malcolm hides the wounded Caesar, who returns and defeats Koba. Dreyfus dies in an explosion. Caesar warns Malcolm that an army is coming. Left open: the war has begun.
