Quick recap

Taylor and Nova cross the Forbidden Zone until Taylor vanishes into a rock wall. A second ship crashes, and its only survivor, Brent, finds Nova wearing Taylor's dog tag. In Ape City he learns General Ursus plans to invade the Forbidden Zone. Brent and Nova flee into a cave that turns out to be a ruined New York subway station. Underground live telepathic humans who worship an atomic bomb. They capture Brent and Taylor and force them to fight, until Nova screams her first word: "Taylor!" The gorillas invade and Nova is killed. Taylor realizes the bomb can destroy the planet, begs Zaius for help and gets shot; Brent is gunned down too. Dying, Taylor sets off the bomb, and Earth is destroyed.
