Quick recap
After the Battle of New York, Adrian Toomes loses his city cleanup contract to an agency tied to Tony Stark and starts building weapons from Chitauri tech. Years later, 15-year-old Peter Parker comes back from the fight in Germany wanting to be an Avenger, but Tony sidelines him. At school, his friend Ned finds out he's Spider-Man, and Peter has a crush on Liz. Chasing the weapons, he nearly sinks a ferry and Tony takes the suit away. On homecoming night, Peter learns Toomes, the Vulture, is Liz's dad, and Toomes figures out who Peter is. In a homemade suit, Peter stops Toomes from hijacking a Stark plane and saves his life. He turns down the Avengers. In the end, Aunt May sees him in costume.

5 easter eggs
Hidden details
ReferenceThe 1967 opening
The Marvel Studios intro plays an orchestral version of the theme from the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon, the one that goes "Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can."
When Peter cuts through suburban backyards, disrupting the families, a TV in one of the houses is playing Ferris Bueller's Day Off, in the scene where Ferris does exactly that.
In gym class and detention, the school plays educational videos recorded by Cap. The teacher mentions he's now considered a war criminal, but the school keeps using the material.
When Peter mistakes a man opening his own car for a thief, a neighbor yells from the window "don't make me come down there, punk." It's Stan Lee, in a character named Gary.
No spoilersThe easter eggs give away parts of the title. They open once you mark it as seen.
