Quick recap

Four years after Strange's spell, nobody remembers Peter Parker, and he protects New York alone as Spider-Man, steering clear of MJ and Ned. Seeing MJ with a new boyfriend triggers an evolution in his powers, and he starts producing webs from his own body. A telepath possesses people, including Mac Gargan, to raid Department of Damage Control sites looking for something called V-Max. It's Jean Grey, a young mutant searching for her sister, Sara, taken by Bill Metzger's department. Bruce Banner gives Peter an inhibitor to hold back the mutation. Jean learns Sara is dead and loses control. Peter embraces his new powers and calms her with a memory of Aunt May. Frank Castle shoots at Jean, and Peter takes the bullet. After recovering, he reaches out to Ned.
