Hogwarts hosts the Triwizard Tournament, with champions from three schools, and the Goblet of Fire picks a fourth name: Harry, who never entered. He gets past a dragon, an underwater rescue and a maze, and reaches the cup tied with Cedric Diggory. The cup is a Portkey that takes them to a graveyard. Wormtail kills Cedric and uses Harry's blood in a ritual that gives Voldemort a body again. In the duel, their wands connect and Harry escapes with Cedric's body. Back at Hogwarts he learns Mad-Eye Moody was Barty Crouch Jr. in disguise, who set it all up. Fudge refuses to believe Voldemort is back, and Dumbledore starts gathering old allies. Harry gives his winnings to Fred and George. Left open: Voldemort has returned, and the Ministry denies it.
