Quick recap

Two stories from the night the Harkonnens and Sardaukar take Arrakeen. In Blood of the Sardaukar, Jopati Kolona, a soldier of the Emperor's elite troops, goes into the attack full of hatred for the Atreides. In battle, the hatred turns into respect, and he must choose between duty and mercy. Jopati ends up saving a Ginaz Swordmaster, an act that unknowingly helps Paul and Jessica survive. In A Whisper of Caladan Seas, Sergeant Hoh Vitt, a former jongleur, is trapped in a cave with Atreides soldiers and uses stories of Caladan to keep his men's hope alive.
