Quick recap
A meteor crashes on Earth carrying Slug, a warrior Namekian who used the Dragon Balls to become young again. He wants to turn the planet into a warship and blots out the sky to freeze everything. Gohan and Krillin take on his henchmen, and Goku arrives to face the villain, who grows giant and overpowers him. Piccolo rips off his own ears and has Gohan blow a whistle: the high-pitched sound tortures Slug. Goku has a flash of golden power but can't hold it. In the end, he gathers energy into a Spirit Bomb and delivers it with a charged punch that sends Slug into space and ends the threat.
