Quick recap
Paragus, a Saiyan who survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta, invites Vegeta to rule a new Saiyan planet. Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Krillin and Master Roshi tag along. Paragus's son, Broly, was born the same day as Goku, and the crying of the baby next to him left a trauma that now resurfaces. Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan, kept in check by his father's crown, and he snaps when he sees Goku. No one can hurt him, and Vegeta loses the will to fight. Paragus's plan was to let Vegeta die when a comet hit. Broly kills his father, and Goku takes everyone's energy and punches through Broly before the comet destroys the planet.
