With Gus gone, Walt sets up his own operation with Jesse and Mike, supplying Lydia from Madrigal. They steal methylamine from a train, and newcomer Todd kills a boy who saw everything. Jesse and Mike walk away; Walt kills Mike and has his men murdered in prison. Rich, Walt stops. But Hank finds a book with Gale's dedication in Walt's bathroom and puts it all together. Jesse turns on Walt. In the To'hajiilee desert, Hank and Gomez arrest Walt, but the gang of Todd's uncle Jack kills them both, takes the money and enslaves Jesse. Walt flees to New Hampshire, then comes back: he gets the money to his kids, frees Jesse, wipes out the gang and dies in the lab.

    The title comes from Shelley's poem about a king whose empire crumbles to ruins. In a 2013 trailer, Bryan Cranston read the whole poem.

    "Felina" is an anagram of "finale" and nods to Feleena from Marty Robbins' "El Paso," which Walt sings in the episode. The final scene plays Badfinger's "Baby Blue," a nod to the blue meth.

    "Gliding Over All" is named after a poem in Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass. The episode brings back the fly from "Fly," a painting from "Bit by a Dead Bee" and the dented paper towel dispenser from "4 Days Out."
