Nia Nal, a reporter who dreams the future, becomes the hero Dreamer, and Brainy stays on the team. In Kaznia, Kara's copy is trained as Red Daughter. Lex Luthor gets out of prison and turns out to be behind everything: he manipulates Red Daughter and Lockwood and stages an invasion to look like a hero. President Baker strips aliens of their rights. Red Daughter dies and passes her strength to Kara, who defeats Lex. Before dying from Eve Teschmacher's gunshot, Lex tells Lena that Kara is Supergirl.
