Quick recap

In 2104, the colony ship Covenant carries two thousand people in cryosleep to Origae-6. An accident kills the captain, and Oram takes command. A human signal diverts them to a closer, seemingly perfect planet. There, spores infect two crew members, and pale creatures burst out of them. The survivors are rescued by David, the android from the Prometheus, who has lived there for ten years. Daniels learns what he did: he unleashed the black liquid on the Engineers and killed Shaw to run experiments. David fights Walter, the Covenant's identical android. The crew escapes, battles a Xenomorph and blows it into space. Going into hypersleep, Daniels realizes too late that the android on board is David.

  2. ReferenceOzymandias, wrong author

David recites Ozymandias and credits it to Byron. Walter corrects him: it's Shelley. The slip shows David understands human culture less than he thinks.
