A year later, New Babylon runs out of fuel, sets its sights on Manhattan's methane and forces Maggie to guide the invasion. Negan is coerced into leading the Dama's people after she brings his wife, Annie, and their son, Joshua, to the island as leverage. He sends them away. Hershel, under the Dama's influence, betrays his mother. Negan kills Bruegel brutally, and Maggie stabs him in the back but chooses not to kill him. Ginny dies of an infection and comes back as a walker, and Negan has to put her down. Hershel leaves with the Dama, who faked her own death. New Babylon's army seizes the methane plant. Maggie, Negan and Perlie decide to move forward together.
