Quick recap

In 2373, a Borg cube attacks Earth, and Picard, kept away because he was once assimilated, disobeys orders and takes the new Enterprise-E into battle. The cube is destroyed, but a Borg sphere travels back in time, and present-day Earth turns up fully assimilated. The Enterprise follows it to April 4, 2063, the day before humanity's first warp flight. The Borg want to stop Zefram Cochrane's flight. On the ground, Riker and La Forge help a drunk Cochrane fix his ship, the Phoenix. Aboard the Enterprise, Picard fights the Borg with Cochrane's assistant Lily, and the Borg Queen tries to seduce Data. Data betrays the Queen, the Borg die, and Cochrane flies. The Vulcans land, and the Enterprise heads home.
