Quick recap

Burnham comes out of the jump in the year 3188 and crash-lands on a planet, where she meets courier Cleveland Booker, known as Book. The galaxy has changed: an event called the Burn made nearly all dilithium explode at once over a century earlier, and the Federation shrank. The crew finds what's left of Starfleet, under Admiral Vance, and starts helping rebuild the Federation. The enemy is the Emerald Chain, a crime syndicate led by Osyraa. Georgiou falls ill from her time jumps and leaves through an ancient portal. The source of the Burn is a Kelpien ship, home to Su'Kal, a young man whose suffering caused it all. Saru stays with him, Osyraa is defeated, and Burnham becomes captain of Discovery.
