Quick recap

A brand-new story begins, without Ash. Liko, a shy girl from Paldea, enrolls at Indigo Academy carrying a mysterious pendant her grandmother gave her. A group called the Explorers tries to steal it, and she's saved by Friede and Captain Pikachu, who lead the adventuring crew the Rising Volt Tacklers aboard an airship. Liko picks Sprigatito and joins the crew. Roy, a boy from an island who treasures an Ancient Poké Ball, comes aboard with Fuecoco. They learn the pendant is Terapagos, tied to the legendary adventurer Lucius and his six hero Pokémon, like a black Rayquaza. The group sets off after those heroes and the paradise of Laqua.
