Quick recap

In London, Jack escapes King George II, who wants the Fountain of Youth before the Spanish find it. Barbossa, now a privateer for the Crown with a peg leg, leads the English expedition. Jack runs into Angelica, an old flame and Blackbeard's daughter, and gets pressed into service on the Queen Anne's Revenge. The Fountain ritual needs Ponce de León's two chalices and a mermaid's tear. At the Fountain, Barbossa reveals he wants revenge, since Blackbeard took the Black Pearl and cost him his leg. He wounds Blackbeard with a poisoned sword, and Angelica is cut too. Jack tricks them both: Angelica gets the years of life and Blackbeard dies. Jack maroons Angelica on an island and recovers the Pearl, shrunk inside a bottle.

Disney bought the rights to On Stranger Tides, Tim Powers' 1987 novel, which also features Blackbeard and the Fountain of Youth. But Jack and Barbossa aren't in the book, and the film only borrows elements from it.
