Quick recap

Loki is locked up in Asgard for his crimes in New York. In London, Jane Foster investigates an anomaly and absorbs the Aether, an ancient weapon King Bor took from the Dark Elves. Thor brings her to Asgard. Malekith, leader of the Dark Elves, wakes up and wants the Aether to plunge the universe into darkness during the Convergence. He attacks Asgard and kills Frigga, mother of Thor and Loki. Against Odin's orders, Thor breaks Loki out to help. On Svartalfheim, Malekith pulls the Aether out of Jane and Loki seems to die saving Thor. In the final battle, in Greenwich, Thor sends Malekith back to Svartalfheim, where he is crushed by his own ship. Thor turns down the throne. In the last scene, "Odin" is Loki in disguise. During the credits, Sif and Volstagg hand the Aether to the Collector.
