Quick recap

The Skrulls, shape-shifting aliens, have lost their empire and decide to take Earth. For years they've been replacing heroes, agents and leaders with impostors, and Queen Veranke has been posing as Spider-Woman. The invasion kicks off with coordinated strikes that take down S.H.I.E.L.D., the Raft prison and the planet's defenses, and no one knows who to trust anymore. The heroes fight in Manhattan and the Savage Land until Mister Fantastic finds a way to detect the Skrulls. Nick Fury, Thor and the rest strike back. Veranke dies at the hands of Norman Osborn, and the end of the invasion leaves Osborn in charge of the nation's security.
