Quick recap

Duke Leto Atreides is given Arrakis, the desert planet of the spice, by the Emperor and moves there with Jessica and his son, Paul. Paul has visions, passes the Reverend Mother's test with the pain box and starts being seen by the Fremen as a possible figure of prophecy. Leto tries to win the Fremen over, but it's all a trap. The Harkonnens attack with the Emperor's Sardaukar, and a traitor inside the house brings down the defenses. Leto falls. The volume ends with Paul and Jessica escaping and lost in the deep desert of Arrakis.

    Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín drew the adaptation while Villeneuve was shooting his film, but independently of it. They used photo references and 3D backgrounds.

  3. Behind the scenesPublished in Brazil and Spain

    Book 1 came out in Brazil in January 2021 from Intrínseca; Books 2 and 3 never did. In Spain, Norma Editorial published all three books as Dune. La novela gráfica.
