Quick recap

Years after becoming king, Arthur is married to Mera, has a baby son and is fed up with Atlantis's council. David Kane, Black Manta, still wants revenge. With Dr. Stephen Shin, he finds the Black Trident in Antarctica, and it possesses him and gives him power. Manta steals orichalcum, an ancient fuel that heats the planet, and wounds Mera in an attack on Atlantis. Arthur breaks his half-brother Orm out of a desert prison to help him. Orm learns the trident belonged to Kordax, brother of King Atlan, imprisoned in the lost kingdom of Necrus. Manta kidnaps Arthur's son to free him. In Necrus, the brothers destroy Kordax and the trident, and Manta falls into a chasm. Arthur reveals Atlantis to the world at the UN.
