Six months later, the team pulls Barry out of the Speed Force. His return spreads dark matter over a bus and creates a batch of new metahumans. It was all planned by Clifford DeVoe, the Thinker, a professor with a superhuman mind who wants their powers. Barry and Iris get married. DeVoe fakes his death, and Barry is jailed for murder. Ralph Dibny, the Elongated Man, becomes an ally. Harry Wells slowly loses his intelligence. DeVoe steals Ralph's body, but his wife, Marlize, turns on him. Barry enters the Thinker's mind and Ralph takes his body back. A satellite falls toward Central City and is destroyed with help from a mysterious speedster: Nora, Barry and Iris's daughter from the future.
