Quick recap

Vandal Savage, an immortal, arrives in Central City hunting Kendra Saunders. Barry takes her to Star City so Oliver can protect her. Malcolm Merlyn explains who Savage is, and a winged man, Carter Hall, reveals that he and Kendra have been reincarnating for 4,000 years, always killed by Savage, who absorbs their life force. Kendra awakens as Hawkgirl. Meanwhile, Oliver learns he has a son, William, and hides it from Felicity. The first attempt fails: Savage kills Kendra and Carter and destroys Central City with the Staff of Horus. Barry runs back in time, the team changes plans, steals the staff and reduces Savage to ashes. Kendra and Carter leave, and Malcolm collects the ashes.
