After the Lian Yu explosion, Thea is left in a coma and William's mother is dead. Oliver raises his son and marries Felicity. Cayden James threatens Star City with bombs and gathers a group of villains that includes Black Siren, the Laurel of Earth-2. The team splinters: Curtis, Dinah and Rene leave and form their own group. Drug lord Ricardo Diaz takes Cayden's place and buys off the police and city hall. Quentin dies protecting Laurel. To take Diaz down, Oliver makes a deal with the FBI: he publicly confesses he is the Green Arrow and goes to prison in exchange for immunity for his team. Diaz is still at large.
