In the Central American jungle, Major Dutch and his rescue team are sent by CIA agent Dillon, Dutch's old friend, to save hostages. The real job is different: grabbing intel from guerrillas, and Dutch feels used. On the way out, with prisoner Anna, the team starts getting hunted by something invisible that skins its victims and hangs them from the trees. One by one, Blain, Mac, Dillon and the rest die. Caked in mud, Dutch realizes the hunter sees heat and can't see him. He sets traps and takes on the Predator alone. Beaten, the alien triggers a bomb on its wrist and laughs. Dutch outruns the blast and is picked up by a helicopter, spent.

Post-credits scenes
Mid-credits Not a new scene: each actor gets a moment not in the movie, like Carl Weathers catching an MP5 and grinning. Then the credits roll over Schwarzenegger's face.

3 easter eggs
Hidden details
Behind the scenesVan Damme almost played the Predator
Jean-Claude Van Damme was cast as the creature, but at 5'9" he looked small next to Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura, and he complained about the hot suit. 7'2" Kevin Peter Hall took over.
Jesse Ventura, Blain with the giant minigun, was governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003. And radio operator Hawkins is Shane Black, the writer of Lethal Weapon.
