Ripley's shuttle is found after 57 years of hypersleep. No one believes her story, and she loses her license. Meanwhile, the colony on LV-426 goes silent. Ripley goes back with a squad of Colonial Marines, the android Bishop and Burke, the company man. The colony has been overrun by Xenomorphs, and only one girl, Newt, is left. The first attack kills half the Marines. Ripley finds out Burke wants to smuggle embryos to Earth inside them. The reactor is about to blow, and Newt is taken. Ripley storms the hive, rescues her and faces the Queen. Back on the ship, the Queen tears Bishop in half; Ripley, in a power loader, throws her out into space. Hicks, Newt and Bishop make it out with her.

Behind the scenesAlien$, with a dollar sign
To sell the title, James Cameron drew lines through the "s" in Aliens on a whiteboard to make a dollar sign. It sounded like a myth until he confirmed it in 2021.
According to Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton didn't know he'd be part of Bishop's knife trick until it was shot. During the reshoot, Henriksen nicked his finger.
No spoilersThe easter eggs give away parts of the title. They open once you mark it as seen.
