  3. CameoDarth Bane with Luke's voice

S6E13, "Sacrifice": the specter of Darth Bane that confronts Yoda at the Sith temple is voiced by Mark Hamill. Hamill didn't know the character, and Filoni recorded the lines in several deliveries to blend them all later.

  4. Behind the scenesRay Park back as Maul

S7E10, "The Phantom Apprentice": the duel between Ahsoka and Maul was animated from motion capture of Ray Park, the Maul of The Phantom Menace. He created a new style for the mechanical legs and was so fast he sometimes broke the tracking.

  5. ReferenceThe score that keeps time

S7E9 to S7E12, Siege of Mandalore: the arc happens at the same time as Revenge of the Sith. When a scene from the film is playing out in parallel, Filoni uses pieces of John Williams's score to tip off the viewer.
