Years ago, Carol Danvers destroyed the Supreme Intelligence, plunging the planet Hala into civil war and ruin; the Kree call her the Annihilator. Kree leader Dar-Benn finds one of two Quantum Bands and uses it to tear open jump points in space. That links the light-based powers of Carol, Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, and the three start swapping places whenever they use their powers. They team up as the Marvels and figure out that Dar-Benn is hitting places that matter to Carol while stealing resources from other worlds for Hala. Dar-Benn uses both Bands and is destroyed, but leaves a tear between realities. Monica seals it and gets stranded in another universe. Inspired, Kamala recruits Kate Bishop to start a new team of young heroes.

ReferenceKamala's room full of sloths
Notice the sloths scattered around Kamala's room. In the comics she's a fan of the animal and has a channel called Sloth Baby Productions.
At the end, Kamala looks up Kate Bishop and makes her pitch with lines that imitate Nick Fury inviting Tony to the Avengers Initiative. She even mentions Ant-Man's daughter as a possible recruit.
